Mr. Guarisco was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 29, 1945. He received a degree in Business Administration from Loyola University in 1967 and a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School in 1969. While in Law School, Mr. Guarisco was a member of the Loyola Law Review for the years 1967 through 1969. He was awarded a Masters of Law Degree in Taxation from Georgetown in 1973 and is a fellow in the prestigious American College of Tax Lawyers. His practice has been concentrated in the areas of business transactions, estate planning, and tax dispute work. Mr Guarisco practiced as a Board Certified Tax Attorney in Louisiana from 1985 through 2022. As he no longer practices full time, he resigned his certification but he still specializes in tax related matters.

During his professional career, Mr. Guarisco has been very active in the legal and educational community of Louisiana. He has served as the Chairman of the Section of Taxation of the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) for its 1980 fiscal year and he was the chairman of the Specialization Board (Taxation) of the State of Louisiana for its 1986 fiscal year. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Employee Benefit Planners of New Orleans (AEBPNO) for four years and was that organization’s president for its 1983 fiscal year. Mr. Guarisco served on the Executive Committee of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council (NOEPC) from 1987-1993, and was the president of that organization in 1993. He was certified as an Accredited Estate Planner by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. Mr. Guarisco has lectured extensively to professional groups on current tax topics and has been recognized as one of a distinguished group of attorneys who have been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for over twenty-five years
